Leka: the eco-friendly warm roof
Leka is a highly energy efficient warm roof system, and is a great alternative to glazed or polycarbonate roofs for conservatories.
The system is manufactured using glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) ring beam and pre-made rafters which add essential strength and durability, along with energy efficient foam sheets to insulate the structure. This gives Leka warm roofs very low U-value of 0.15 W/m²K (the lower the U-value the better), keeping the conservatory at a comfortable temperature.

The old glazed and polycarbonate roofs of the 1980s and ‘90s are renowned for their ‘greenhouse’ effect. If they don’t have heat-reflective glass, they often become a sun-trap during the warmer months, retaining the heat so it becomes too uncomfortable to use.
