Opting for warm roof conservatories continues to be a top choice for many homeowners. One of the most common reasons why homeowners want to upgrade their conservatory is because it’s unusable when the weather gets too hot or too cold. Warm roof conservatories solve this issue.
Warm roof conservatories are designed with the highest performance features, to ensure that they vastly improve the existing energy efficiency of a conservatory. They use effective insulation and ventilation to help control the temperature inside the space.
The Leka warm roof conservatory system is renowned for its energy efficiency, and here’s the reasons why…
Leka: the eco-friendly warm roof
Leka is a highly energy efficient warm roof system, and is a great alternative to glazed or polycarbonate roofs for conservatories.
The system is manufactured using glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) ring beam and pre-made rafters which add essential strength and durability, along with energy efficient foam sheets to insulate the structure. This gives Leka warm roofs very low U-value of 0.15 W/m²K (the lower the U-value the better), keeping the conservatory at a comfortable temperature.
Make the most out of your conservatory
The old glazed and polycarbonate roofs of the 1980s and ‘90s are renowned for their ‘greenhouse’ effect. If they don’t have heat-reflective glass, they often become a sun-trap during the warmer months, retaining the heat so it becomes too uncomfortable to use. It can be the opposite in winter too, turning into an icebox when the weather gets cold.
Warm roof conservatories eliminate these issues. They help to transform a conservatory so that they can be used whatever the weather, by regulating the temperature inside and keeping it cooler during the summer and warmer during the winter.
The Leka warm roof conservatory system can be adapted to suit your existing conservatory frames, with tiles matching with the rest of your home. Velux roof lights can be included with the design, to make the most of the natural daylight and reduce the use of artificial lighting in your conservatory.
Saving money on heating bills
Our warm roof system helps to prevent heat loss inside a conservatory, while also ventilating it effectively too.
It creates a much more comfortable living space. There’s no need to turn up the thermostat when it’s cold, or use fans to cool the room down when it’s too warm, keeping your heating and energy bills lower!
